Kairos Power is hiring a Senior BIM Designer/Specialist, Civil Structures to lead building information modeling and Revit-centered digital delivery. The role develops modeling standards and coordinates civil-structure projects from design through construction and as-built documentation.
Responsibilities: Establish BIM strategy, execution plans and common data environments. Coordinate federated models and Navisworks clash detection, develop Revit families and templates, and integrate Revit with Civil 3D. Supervise and train BIM coordinators/modelers and review deliverable quality.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related field. The experience criterion is stated as a minimum of 7–10 years in architecture, engineering, construction and operations, with at least 5 years dedicated to BIM management or coordination on structural/civil projects. Expert Revit Structure proficiency with a complex-project portfolio, Navisworks experience, advanced Revit families/parameters/templates, engineering drafting/design experience and working Civil 3D knowledge are required.
Preferred experience: A relevant master’s degree, PE licence, Autodesk certification, other BIM/reality-capture tools, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, Dynamo automation, and 4D/5D BIM processes are preferred. Nuclear or regulated-environment experience is a plus.
Working arrangements: Alameda or remote within the United States, with up to 10% travel. Duties include climbing ladders, stairs or access equipment, and occasional weekends, schedule flexibility and extended hours. The quoted pay range applies to onsite Alameda employees. Work requires authorization to access 10 CFR Part 810-controlled information; foreign nationals from countries outside DOE’s general authorization list need a company-held DOE export-control license.
