Role
Oklo is hiring a Director of Chemistry, Manufacturing and Controls to lead its isotope radiochemistry organization, initially supporting Lu-177 production and Am-241 and Ra-226 processing.
Responsibilities: Lead radiochemical process development, scale-up, technology transfer and manufacturing readiness. Own analytical strategy, critical process parameters and controls, troubleshoot yield and purity problems, and build the radiochemistry team. Support validation, commissioning, regulatory inspections and lifecycle improvement across hot-cell and glovebox operations.
Requirements: A master's in radiochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, nuclear engineering or a closely related technical discipline, plus 10+ years of progressively responsible experience in radiochemistry, isotope production, radiochemical processing, nuclear chemical operations, pharmaceutical/radiopharmaceutical manufacturing or a closely related field. US and EU cGMP manufacturing experience is required, along with CMC development, process characterization, validation, continued verification and manufacturing science and technology.
Requirements: Direct experience in Lu-177 production, lanthanide separations, target dissolution, radionuclide purification or medical-isotope manufacturing. Candidates must have led technical teams and investigations, transferred development processes into manufacturing, and worked with radiochemical separations, radioactive materials and analytical chemistry. Regulated documentation, configuration control, training materials, cross-functional leadership and knowledge of relevant FDA, NRC and DOE frameworks are also required.
Working arrangements: This is an onsite position in Austin, Texas. Travel to headquarters or another designated location twice per quarter is required. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations. Employment may require drug screening and subsequent testing. A résumé and cover letter are required.
