Oklo is hiring an Electrical Engineer – Aurora-INL to provide owner-side technical leadership for the Aurora powerhouse at Idaho National Laboratory, coordinating electrical delivery across EPC partners, vendors and construction teams.
Responsibilities: Own electrical scope through procurement, construction, commissioning and turnover. Review drawings, specifications and studies covering load flow, short circuits, protection, arc flash and grounding. Resolve vendor interfaces, field issues and design changes while supporting constructability and project schedules.
Requirements: An accredited bachelor's in electrical engineering and eight or more years of progressively responsible electrical engineering experience, including significant power-generation experience. Candidates need facility distribution, emergency-power, grounding, equipment and electrical-study knowledge, experience reviewing vendor and engineering deliverables, and working knowledge of IEEE and applicable building/fire codes. Cross-discipline coordination and practical issue resolution amid evolving project information are essential.
Preferred experience: Ten or more years of experience, a PE license or ability to obtain one, nuclear/DOE facilities, EPC and progressive design-build execution. ETAP, CDEGS and Bluebeam, switchyard/high-voltage coordination, and industrial commissioning or turnover experience are preferred.
Working arrangements: Travel to project offices, vendors and the Aurora-INL construction site is required. Remote staff must visit Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations.
