Oklo is hiring a Fuel Fabrication Project Engineer to coordinate nuclear design, licensing, procurement and construction across fuel-fabrication deployments. The role connects technical schedules with nuclear-grade purchasing and controlled task tracking.
Responsibilities: Maintain integrated schedules with regulatory milestones and readiness hold points. Manage procurement documentation, vendor requests and long-lead components. Track design actions and revisions using tools such as Jira or Smartsheet, and prepare progress reports and audit-ready records under nuclear quality requirements.
Requirements: A bachelor's or higher in mechanical, electrical, nuclear engineering or a related engineering discipline. Candidates need quality-management knowledge and experience working under at least one licensed system, project-scheduling tool experience, and understanding of drawings, deliverables and procurement packages. Mechanical/electrical design fundamentals, metals selection, manufacturing and fabrication knowledge, full-development-cycle teamwork, and coordination with manufacturers and consultants are required. Critical-path scheduling, resource loading and clear technical communication are also expected.
Preferred experience: Advanced reactors, NRC/DOE processes, ASME compliance, NQA-1, vendor qualification, commercial-grade dedication or nuclear procurement, ERP tools, safety analysis and licensing, and radiation effects on materials.
Working arrangements: Travel to headquarters or another designated location twice per quarter is required. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations. Employment may require drug screening and subsequent testing. A résumé and cover letter are required.
