Role
Oklo is hiring a Fuels Licensing Manager to support licensing for fuel-fabrication and recycling technologies. The role works with design engineers on the regulatory basis for pre-application activities, license applications and regulatory review.
Responsibilities: Prepare and maintain licensing documents, programs and schedules. Review engineering materials and design changes for regulatory compliance, coordinate with the nuclear regulator, and develop and defend licensing positions where existing guidance does not fit. Lead resolution of strategic licensing issues and present technical positions internally and externally.
Requirements: A BS in engineering from an accredited college or university, or related experience. Candidates need knowledge of 10 CFR Part 70, NRC Regulatory Guides and other regulatory guidance, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and demonstrated coordination skills. Strong writing, presentation and interpersonal abilities are required, along with the ability to manage complex stakeholder projects, translate regulatory strategy into deliverables and resolve competing design objectives.
Working arrangements: Remote staff must visit Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations. Employment may require drug screening and subsequent testing. A résumé and cover letter are required.
