Oklo is hiring an Instrumentation & Controls Technician to support fabrication, commissioning and operation of advanced-nuclear test platforms. The position combines hands-on instrumentation work with distributed-control and test-system support.
Responsibilities: Install, terminate and verify sensors, transmitters and control equipment. Build panels and wiring, configure or troubleshoot control and data-acquisition systems, support test startup and shutdown, and maintain equipment. Assist with Emerson DeltaV configurations and supplier/equipment selection.
Requirements: An associate degree, technical diploma, apprenticeship, military technical training or equivalent practical experience in instrumentation, controls, electronics, electrical technology, industrial automation or a related field. At least three years of hands-on industrial instrumentation, controls, test-system or process-facility experience is required. Candidates must install, calibrate, commission, maintain and troubleshoot instruments, interpret schematics/P&IDs, and use diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, calibrators and loop simulators. Familiarity with 4–20 mA, discrete I/O, HART and Ethernet communications and ability to lift, move and position equipment up to 30 pounds are required.
Preferred experience: Strong Emerson DeltaV knowledge, thermal-hydraulic or liquid-metal testing, regulated-industry work and ASME NQA-1.
Working arrangements: Travel to headquarters or another designated location twice per quarter is required. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations. Employment may require drug screening and subsequent testing. A résumé and cover letter are required.
