Oklo is hiring a Piping Designer / Drafter - Fuel Recycling to develop controlled engineering drawings for its first-of-a-kind recycling facility. The drawings support design, procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
Responsibilities: Create and revise P&IDs, piping layouts, isometrics and equipment arrangements using AutoCAD, Plant3D or equivalent tools. Coordinate engineering changes and drawing quality checks, maintain revision histories and bills of materials, and incorporate fabricator and field feedback.
Requirements: An associate degree, technical certification or bachelor's in drafting, design technology, mechanical engineering technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. At least five years producing industrial-facility or process-equipment drawings is required. Candidates need AutoCAD or equivalent proficiency, P&ID and piping/layout experience, industrial piping/instrumentation knowledge, drawing standards and revision/document-control familiarity, and the ability to interpret specifications and collaborate across disciplines.
Preferred experience: SolidWorks/3D plant models, regulated process facilities, conceptual-to-construction delivery, ASME B31.1/B31.3, PDM/PLM, ISA symbols and control documentation, HAZOP or constructability reviews, and nuclear projects.
Working arrangements: Remote staff must visit Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter. Onboarding requires two weeks in Santa Clara. Export controls may limit eligibility to U.S. persons; offers depend on necessary authorizations. Employment may require drug screening and subsequent testing. A résumé and cover letter are required.
