Role
Oklo is hiring a Senior Maintenance Program Engineer to develop, implement and improve fleet maintenance standards. The role establishes technical bases, work-management practices and system data that support reliable plant performance while allowing justified site-specific adaptations.
Responsibilities: Develop preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance strategies and translate them into tasks, frequencies, acceptance criteria, procedures and job plans. Standardize asset hierarchies and maintenance data, lead implementation at facilities, and establish work planning through post-maintenance testing and closeout. Use backlog, schedule compliance, repeat work and reliability measures to improve the program, coordinating critical spares and obsolescence with engineering, vendors and supply chain.
Requirements: At least 10 years in the nuclear industry, with demonstrated maintenance-scheduling and maintenance-leadership experience. Understand nuclear plant operations and interfaces among Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, Quality, Training and Supply Chain. Bring experience developing, implementing, governing or improving preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance programs, and the ability to turn defensible maintenance strategies and technical bases into executable work requirements.
Requirements: Experience with computerized maintenance management or enterprise asset management systems, asset hierarchies, equipment history and maintenance master data. Strong technical writing, analytical, organizational and cross-functional communication skills are required, together with the ability to provide program direction and balance fleet standardization with controlled site-specific needs.
Preferred experience: Multi-facility standardization, equipment reliability, criticality/failure-mode analysis, corrective action and operating experience. Bonuses include maintenance metrics, critical spares, bills of material, component availability/obsolescence, procedures, work packages, job plans, checklists, training and worker-feedback processes. Familiarity with the maintenance rule, nuclear quality assurance or regulatory requirements, and a former or current NRC Senior Reactor Operator license or certification are preferred.
Working arrangements: Independent remote work is explicitly supported, with travel up to 50%. Remote employees travel to Santa Clara headquarters twice per quarter based on team/business needs; the application also allows another designated company location. The first two weeks of onboarding are in person in Santa Clara.
