TerraPower is hiring a Deployment Engineering Manager to establish and sustain the project office supporting Natrium deployment. The manager connects central and site engineering with construction, procurement, licensing, the utility partner, equipment vendors and subcontractors to resolve fabrication and construction issues.
The role sets engineering priorities, tracks actions to closure and forecasts staffing needs against construction schedules. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional issue-resolution meetings, improving deployment processes, developing site-engineering qualification plans, and recruiting, mentoring and onboarding team members under nuclear quality procedures.
An accredited bachelor's degree or higher in civil, mechanical, electrical, nuclear or a related engineering discipline is required, together with at least 15 years of construction, manufacturing, testing or project-management experience on multidisciplinary teams. Candidates need project-engineering experience supporting geographically dispersed teams, the ability to resolve onsite and fabrication issues across technical and regulatory organizations, resource forecasting skills and leadership in schedule-driven settings. ANSI/ANS 3.1 education and experience criteria apply. The application also asks about an engineering degree or equivalent from an ABET-accredited institution.
Familiarity with sodium-cooled fast reactors, advanced nuclear systems or DOE-funded demonstration projects is desirable. Travel is 0–10%. Physical duties include prolonged sitting, stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds, with accommodations assessed individually. Export-control review applies, and hiring may depend on timely government authorization.
