Role
TerraPower is hiring an Engineering and Maintenance Manager for the Natrium Test & Fill Facility. The manager leads 3–5 engineers and 6–7 maintenance personnel supporting reliable facility operation and advanced nuclear and thermal-system testing.
The role owns system reliability, design changes and configuration control. It develops preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance using a computerized maintenance management system, supports commissioning and test campaigns, and oversees documentation, root-cause investigations, corrective actions and small to mid-size projects.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, nuclear, industrial or a related engineering discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The employer specifies approximately eight or more years in industrial or high-reliability facilities. Candidates need operational engineering or maintenance-team leadership, maintenance-program development and execution, CMMS use, industrial safety and regulatory knowledge, engineering change control and technical-documentation experience. ANSI/ANS 3.1 education and experience criteria apply.
An advanced engineering or engineering-management degree, nuclear or DOE experience, test or R&D facility work, PE licensure or progress toward it, reliability methods such as RCA, RCM or FMEA, commissioning, and advanced reactor, energy-storage or thermal-system familiarity are preferred.
Travel is 0–10%. Physical duties include prolonged sitting, stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds, with accommodations assessed individually. Export-control review applies, and hiring may depend on timely government authorization.
