TerraPower is hiring a Fuel Fabrication Licensing and Criticality Engineer in Bellevue, Washington as a full-time position supporting the Natrium fuel program. The role sits at the intersection of fuel fabrication and nuclear criticality safety for advanced reactor fuel.
Responsibilities include nuclear criticality safety evaluations for fuel fabrication, handling, storage, and transport operations, development and maintenance of HALEU-related controls, preparation of licensing documentation, and drafting responses to NRC questions and requests for additional information.
Qualifications require a B.S. in nuclear engineering or a related field with 5 or more years of relevant experience, hands-on criticality analysis with SCALE/KENO and MCNP, and familiarity with NRC licensing interactions. Stated compensation is a Washington range of $140,021–$181,845.
