TerraPower is hiring a Licensing Manager to lead the Natrium licensing team and manage NRC engagements for an advanced sodium-cooled fast reactor. Reporting to the Director of Licensing, the manager directs a distributed engineering group pursuing licensing under 10 CFR Part 50.
The manager plans licensing activities and delivers construction-permit or operating-license application documents, including safety-analysis and environmental reports. Responsibilities include coordinating NRC audit and information-request responses, checking design changes against regulatory requirements, maintaining quality-controlled licensing records and developing strategy with engineering teams.
Requirements include a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year university or equivalent experience, at least eight years in the nuclear industry, at least two years in new or advanced reactor licensing or oversight, and at least two years of supervisory, mentoring or equivalent people leadership. Familiarity with 10 CFR regulations, Part 50 application content and risk-informed, performance-based guidance is required. Candidates must work within strict quality-assurance standards and lead remote team members in a matrix organization.
Starting level and title depend on qualifications.
