Role
TerraPower is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager (USO) to implement and improve the Kemmerer Power Station quality program. Reporting to the Director of Nuclear Oversight, the manager maintains compliance with 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NQA-1 and construction and operating standards.
Responsibilities include managing QA staff and qualifications, reviewing procedures and quality records, incorporating operating experience and regulatory changes, and scheduling internal and supplier audits. The manager coordinates partners, regulators and other departments and trains personnel in nuclear quality processes.
The description requires a bachelor's degree in science, engineering, quality assurance or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, at least eight years of commercial nuclear-plant QA experience, and at least two years of supervisory, mentoring or equivalent people leadership. Nuclear-plant systems knowledge, regulatory interpretation, Microsoft Office, software-based procedure tools and technical writing are expected. ANSI/ANS 3.1 education and experience criteria apply.
