Senior Specialist, Project Controls

Role

TerraPower is hiring a Senior Specialist, Project Controls to oversee scheduling, cost control, risk and reporting for complex, high-value projects. The specialist supports project leadership and mentors junior team members.

Responsibilities include analyzing detailed Primavera P6 schedules, validating schedule data and recommending risk mitigation. The specialist tracks cost, schedule and earned-value performance, prepares variance analyses and forecasts, maintains dashboards and records, facilitates reviews and guides project teams on controls processes. Work spans project management, engineering, procurement and construction.

Requirements include a bachelor's degree in project management, business or a related field and at least 15 years in project controls, planning, scheduling and cost management. Engineering or construction experience is preferred. Candidates need strong critical-path scheduling and Primavera P6 expertise, experience preparing and reporting schedules in engineering, procurement and construction environments, and advanced Microsoft Office skills. Familiarity with advanced project-management tools and independent analytical judgment is expected. ANSI/ANS 3.1 education and experience criteria apply.

U.S. work authorization without sponsorship is required. Candidates must pass pre-employment drug screening and background checks covering employment, education and travel history. Travel is 0–10%. Physical duties include prolonged sitting, stairs and lifting up to 25 pounds, with accommodations assessed individually. Export-control review also applies, and hiring may depend on timely government authorization.
