Role
The Nuclear Company is hiring a Construction Manager to lead field execution for major nuclear construction, including the Brookfield JV anchor project at V.C. Summer Units 2 and 3. Reporting to the Senior Director of Construction, the role coordinates contractors and integrated project teams to deliver assigned scopes safely, on schedule and within budget.
Responsibilities: Oversee daily construction, subcontractor productivity, staffing and quality. Coordinate engineering, project controls, quality and craft teams on scope reviews, changes, field issues and acceptance. Support startup planning, turnover, punch lists and closeout. Reinforce nuclear safety and Human Performance practices through walkdowns, readiness reviews and corrective actions.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience. Candidates need 15+ years in construction, field engineering, project management or oversight on large industrial, energy, infrastructure or nuclear projects. Subcontractor oversight, multi-contractor coordination, interpretation of work scopes and contracts, and knowledge of sequencing, scheduling and project controls are required. Extensive project-site travel is required.
Preferred experience: Nuclear construction, owner’s representative or similar field oversight, EPC work, ASME Section III, NQA-1, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, NRC requirements, Primavera P6 or comparable tools, project-management credentials, and OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification.
Eligibility: For export-control compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
