The Nuclear Company is hiring a Cost Control Specialist to support cost management and performance monitoring across nuclear projects. The role works with project managers and control account managers to maintain a cost baseline, report performance and provide forecast analysis.
Responsibilities: Develop periodic cost reports and maintain the performance measurement baseline with inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, regulatory and project-controls teams. Monitor partner costs, analyze trends and risks, and track estimate-at-completion. Alert finance and project leaders to forecast or cash-flow impacts, build cost dashboards and apply predictive analytics.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience and at least five years in project controls focused on cost management or cost control. Candidates need knowledge of project lifecycle and work breakdown structures, analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Power BI, Tableau, advanced Excel or comparable tools. Understanding PMI standards and implementing earned value management principles are part of the role. Familiarity with AI or machine-learning applications for forecasting and anomaly detection is also listed.
Preferred experience: Nuclear, power-generation or other highly regulated work; familiarity with earned value management, risk analysis and cost-schedule integration; PMP or PMI-SP certification; and startup or high-growth experience.
