Role
The Nuclear Company is hiring a Procurement Contracts Manager (EPC Projects) to form and negotiate procurement agreements for nuclear infrastructure development, design and construction. The role aligns commercial terms with technical and schedule needs.
Responsibilities: Develop contract strategies and templates for equipment, materials and services. Negotiate pricing, risk allocation and change controls, and manage formation and handoff to contract administration. Support change orders, claims and disputes. Embed quality, export-control and counterfeit-parts protections, including NQA-1 supplier status, 10 CFR Part 21 and ITAR/EAR obligations.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, construction management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience. The employer specifies 7–10+ years in procurement contracts, commercial management or supply chain in capital-intensive or highly regulated industries. EPC lifecycle experience, leadership of fixed-price, time-and-materials and EPC negotiations, and knowledge of contract risk and claims are required. Candidates also need familiarity with U.S. federal acquisition regulations, DOE funding agreements or comparable public-sector contracting frameworks.
Preferred experience: Nuclear, energy, infrastructure, aerospace or defense work; FAR/DFARS, NQA-1, ASME or ITAR; ERP/contract lifecycle systems; and an advanced law, business or supply-chain degree.
Working arrangements: Regular in-office presence in Columbia, South Carolina, two to three days per week. Candidates must be able to commute or relocate to meet this requirement.
Eligibility: For export-control compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
