Role
The Nuclear Company is hiring a Project Procurement Manager (Greenfield Projects) to execute procurement for assigned nuclear EPC projects. The role owns the project procurement plan, aligning purchasing with schedule, budget, engineering releases and quality. It is not assigned to V.C. Summer or the related JV.
Responsibilities: Maintain procurement schedules, manage requisition-to-delivery activity and expedite long-lead equipment. Coordinate suppliers, logistics, inspections and material receipt. Resolve delivery, quality and commercial issues with engineering, project controls, construction, quality and category management, and report commitments, risks and recovery actions.
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Candidates need six or more years of procurement, buying or project procurement on large capital, construction or EPC projects, including power generation, heavy industrial, infrastructure or another highly regulated capital-project environment. Hands-on purchase-order, change-order, supplier and expediting experience, commercial knowledge, and procurement-system proficiency are required.
Preferred experience: Nuclear EPC, NQA-1/10 CFR 50 Appendix B, safety-related or engineered-to-order equipment, export controls/domestic sourcing, and CPSM/CIPS credentials.
Working arrangements: Initially hybrid in downtown Columbia with 2–3 office days weekly. Domestic travel is 25–35%, with regular construction-site presence as projects advance and possible additional supplier, manufacturing and fabrication travel. Work outside standard hours may be needed.
Eligibility: For export-control compliance, applicants must be U.S. citizens, U.S. lawful permanent residents, protected individuals under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.
