TNC Services is hiring a Pump Mechanic (Lark/ Mount Holly, NC) to support the reliability of power-generation pumps and machine-shop operations. The role combines precision mechanical work with strict quality-assurance and equipment-control practices.
Responsibilities: Overhaul safety-related pumps used in RHR, CCW, service-water, charging, condensate and feedwater systems. Disassemble, inspect and rebuild vertical and horizontal centrifugal pumps to OEM specifications, measuring shafts, sleeves, wear rings and bearing fits. Set mechanical seals, troubleshoot performance, interpret drawings and manuals, document work and maintain foreign-material-exclusion practices.
Requirements: Journeyman Millwright or Industrial Mechanic certification, or equivalent hands-on mechanical experience. Candidates need extensive rotating-equipment and industrial-pump maintenance/rebuild experience, demonstrated mechanical-seal installation and setting, and knowledge of pump hydraulics and curves. Rotating-equipment repair and power-generation plant rotating-equipment maintenance experience are required.
Preferred experience: Pump overhauls, rigging certification or experience supporting heavy equipment lifts.
Working arrangements: Onsite at the Lark facility in Mount Holly, North Carolina. This is not a travel-based position.
