Notes

INL confirms consortium membership. Apollo Atomics (YC P26, MIT spinoff) is developing ultra-compact truck-transportable PWRs (>80 MW, ~40x smaller footprint, <24-month deployment target) and raised a $31M seed led by FCVC announced 2026-08-20 (PR Newswire, corroborated by TechCrunch and Pulse 2.0; >20 GW of signed LOIs reported). Its 2026-07-25 X post is the only public statement of its Prometheus role — X-only, so per tracker policy the role field stays null until a second source appears; tracked as a lead.

Milestone log

  • 2026-07-25Company announced on X that it is joining the AI for Nuclear Energy Consortium (Prometheus, INL-led, DOE Genesis Mission), framing its contribution as bringing AI into design, licensing, manufacturing, and operation of next-generation nuclear systems — X-only statement, not yet corroborated by a second source (source)
