Da Vinci / first utility-scale plant (TAE Technologies)

TAE's first utility-scale fusion power plant, previously branded Da Vinci, is planned at roughly 50 MWe. Under the pending merger with Trump Media & Technology Group, TAE aimed to choose a site and start construction in 2026; it toured candidate sites in Alabama, Ohio and Texas but had not named one as of October 2026.

Notes

Earlier TAE material targeted Da Vinci electricity in the early 2030s; the merger release does not use the Da Vinci name. Merger had not closed as of 2026-10-11 (expected before end-2026); ticker not recorded until closing. Trump Media trades as NASDAQ: DJT.

Timeline

  • 2025-12-18 — TAE and Trump Media & Technology Group announced an all-stock merger valued at over $6 billion, with TMTG committing up to $300 million in cash and plans to site a 50 MWe plant in 2026. (source)
  • 2026-04 — TAE completed a site evaluation tour for its first fusion power plant in Alabama, Ohio and Texas. (source)
  • 2026-09-30 — TAE and TMTG filed a Form S-4 registration statement with the SEC for the merger. (source)
