Orbitron / FusionWERX (Avalanche Energy)

Licensing · United States · Other

Avalanche Energy is developing the Orbitron, a compact magneto-electrostatic (crossed-field) micro-fusion device, and in 2025 opened FusionWERX in Richland, Washington, as a commercial-scale test facility to host a D-T Q>1 test program. It raised $29 million in February 2026; tritium licensing for FusionWERX is expected in 2027.
