Peach Bottom Unit 1

Peach Bottom 1 was a 200 MWt high-temperature gas-cooled prototype that ran from 1967 to 1974. It has been in SAFSTOR since 1978 with fuel removed to Idaho, and final decommissioning is deferred until operating Units 2 and 3 shut; the NRC estimates closure in 2074.
