Higashidori 1 is Tohoku Electric's 1,067 MWe (net) BWR, offline since February 2011. It applied for NRA review in June 2014, but the review of site faults, ground motion and tsunami has dragged on and the completion date of safety works is undecided.

Distinct from TEPCO's Higashidori 1 ABWR, which is an unfinished new build (out of scope). WNN 2017 date: article published 8 Feb 2017 says Tohoku announced 'yesterday'.
