Notes

NRC News Release 26-039: 'The NRC issued the renewed licenses after receiving documentation from PG&E of the required federal certifications under the Coastal Zone Management Act and the Clean Water Act.' NRC's own reviews (SE June 5, 2025; FSEIS June 20, 2025) finished ~19.5 months after submittal; the remaining ~9.5 months were external state certifications. The LR status table shows 'Application Received 11/24/09' (the first, withdrawn application) for this row; this record uses the 2023 application. The status page footnote also misstates the old application as 'submitted on November 7, 2018 and withdrawn ... March 7, 2018'. Units kept operating past their original expirations (Nov 2, 2024 / Aug 26, 2025) under the timely-renewal exemption granted March 2, 2023. Contested (hearing request March 2024); outcome not in fetched sources. NRC decision target: originally 2025-08, latest 2025-08. Schedule: Decision target 08/2025 in archived pages (May 2024, Nov 2024, June 2025) and current page; actual 04/02/2026 because licenses were issued only after PG&E documented CZMA and Clean Water Act certifications.
