Ohi 3 is a 1,127 MWe (net) Kansai Electric PWR. It briefly ran in 2012-2013 under a political restart decision, went offline in September 2013, and restarted under the new NRA standards in March 2018; it is operating.

shut down is the September 2013 shutdown that followed the 2012 interim restart; the unit was first idled in 2011. JAIF gross 1,180 MWe.

  • 2018-03-14 — Kansai restarted Ohi 3; it reached criticality the next morning. (source)
