Tsuruga 2 is Japan Atomic Power's 1,108 MWe (net) PWR. In November 2024 it became the first reactor refused restart under Japan's post-Fukushima rules because an active fault under the reactor building could not be ruled out; JAPC is running additional fault surveys to reapply.
