Fort Calhoun Station

Site restoration · United States · Immediate dismantling

Omaha Public Power District closed the single-unit Fort Calhoun PWR in October 2016 for economic reasons and switched from SAFSTOR to prompt DECON in 2019. Release of the bulk of the site (except the dry-cask pad) is expected in 2026, with an LTP revision under NRC review.
