Gundremmingen Nuclear Power Plant (Units B and C)

RWE is dismantling the twin 1,344 MW BWRs at Gundremmingen, once Germany's largest nuclear site, after Unit B closed in 2017 and Unit C at the end of 2021. The two 160 m cooling towers were demolished on 25 October 2025 in front of about 30,000 spectators.
