Shikoku Electric retired Ikata 1 (2016) and Ikata 2 (2018), both 538 MWe PWRs, rather than pay for post-Fukushima upgrades, and is decommissioning them in four stages over about 40 years. Ikata 3 continues to operate on the same site.
