Ohi 1 and 2, two 1,175 MWe ice-condenser PWRs, became in 2017-18 the first post-Fukushima retirements of Japanese reactors over 1,000 MWe. Kansai has been dismantling secondary-system equipment since April 2020 under a plan approved in December 2019.
