TMI-2, the reactor damaged in the 1979 partial meltdown, is being decommissioned by TMI-2 Solutions, an EnergySolutions subsidiary that took the license in December 2020. Work is removing the remaining ~1% of core debris before conventional dismantling; an amended PSDAR was filed in October 2025.
