Notes

Correction: first safety-related concrete poured 2025-02-24 (CNNC, corroborated by WNN/NEI) — the recorded construction start is kept, since the log is append-only; correction recorded as milestone. RPV installed 2026-07-14 and second containment steel ring 2026-06-10 per CGN/CNNPN statements via WNN/NucNet. WNN states both Lufeng-1 and -2 scheduled to begin operating in 2030, consistent with baseline. No Aug-Sep 2026 milestone found.

Milestone log

  • 2025-02-24 — Correction: first safety-related concrete poured 2025-02-24 per CNNC — earlier baseline listed construction start as 2024 (source)
  • 2026-06-10 — Second ring of steel inner containment installed (containment = 2 dome segments + 3 steel rings) (source)
  • 2026-06-16 — Listed as under construction in the WNA world table, grid connection estimated 2030 (source)
  • 2026-07-14 — Reactor pressure vessel installed; CGN marks beginning of peak period for nuclear-island main system equipment installation (source)

The milestone log is append-only: corrections are recorded as new entries, never rewrites. Full history via /api/v1/changes.
